Mobile Phone Orchestra Ver 1.2

Mobile phone has become a common communication tool today. The idea of mobile phone orchestra is to transform mobile phone into a musical instrument, having audience to be engaged in social music making. Mobile Phone Orchestra MPO offers the possibility of accessible group experiences.
Version 1.2:     Melaka is a heritage city with recognition by UNESCO. With this status, there is a need to raise awareness of the unfortunate state of our rivers and to promote revitalization by incorporating the ebb and flow of creative expressions along the rivers. Chor Guan wants to explore through sound and music to enable us as individuals and collectively to still progress while protecting the environment. The development of Melaka sees the disappearance on the sound and songs of nature. Playing a role in the Mobile Phone Orchestra evokes all participants on the importance of how every single individual could contribute in protecting and preserving the nature.

Biography

Ng Chor Guan is an invigorating music composer and sound designer for theatre, dance, film , concert music and new media. He started his career as professional music composer during his years in London. His work demonstrates an excellent integration of the classical and the contemporary. 

His works have been presented at numerous festivals included International Short Film Festival Oberhausen in Germany,  Asian Contemporary Theatre Project , Japan. nyobaKan butoh festival,  Silk Road Hong Kong Arts Festival, Hong Kong International Arts Carnival, The Studio Singapore, Sydney Fashion Week, Hong Kong Cultural Ambassador Program, Georgetown festival and more.

In 2008-2009, he nominated Cameronian Arts Awards Most Promising Artist.
His Music for films was awarded include Gand prizes in Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France and Artfilm fest in Slovak Republic. 2010 he was nominated the best music composition 1stSelangor Youth Awards and 2011 awarded the German Language Scholarship.

Chor Guan dreams to be an astronaut came true, in the form of his first feature music concert “SPACE AGE- a journey like never before “ which is successfully lifted off to space.  

To add to his list of accomplishment, he has also produced 13 CD albums of his own.
